Cheltenham Racecourse puts on the finest three days of jumping
in the world at its National Hunt Festival in the spring the jamboree
adds a key element to the racing calendar.
If there is a sporting
theatre to beat Cheltenham on Gold Cup day when a 60,000 crowd
fill the courses stands and shout on
their favourites.
Already world class facilities have been improved for the 2004
season with the addition of a new Tattersalls Area and two new
grandstands in the Courage Enclosure.
Cheltenham has a beautiful setting below Cleeve Hill but it
is the final climb up to the winning post that sorts the champions
from the pretenders.
Now you can even travel the last few miles to the course on
a vintage steam train as the racecourse station has been refurbished
and reopened.
